My Trips

Ok well there were no issues discussed in the upcoming weeks or months but certainly we have issues to discuss this year. First of all I did some little traveling myself and I will give you some update as we go along. First of all when I started this blog I had in mind to reach out to my friends who together I hoped we were the new generation that would move the world forward. I am not sure which direction is forward but I think there is a basic good which we can all agree with. Enough of philosophy lets discuss some history.
I did some little traveling last year. I was in Geneva for 3 Months and in Swaziland for 1 week. I was also in India for 1 week and finally ended up spending Christmas in Calabar. Ok sincerely speaking Geneva was the bomb. I got to do crazy things and met crazy people. Bear in mind that for once in my life I was socialising with people much younger than I am so I had to do a lot of catching up. I have never lived on the fast lane but I did that for three months. Camping, bicycle rides, train rides to no where in particular, clubbing, loud rock music (I was tone deaf for a while there) and finally getting to make some of my nasty dreams come true. I guess the fondest memory of all was meeting a gentleman from one of the former soviet republics. He could not speak English or french and he could not write the alpha numeric symbols. We resorted to communication by drawing pictures. Stone Age? Yeah but I also found out that a smile is a smile anywhere in the world. No need for interpretations there.
In Swaziland I got to see the country with the last absolute monarchy in the world. It is a nice place with great names that start with two or more consonants. Pretty ladies and easy dating facilities. Haha no need to get excited all you hot blooded men. Anyway the fondest moment in Swaziland was the flight to Mbambane. I though the plane might get missing I have never been in such a small air craft in my life. I had fun with the tribal displays and the Commonwealth guys.
In India it was simply incredible!!!! In every sense of the word. Affluence right beside abject poverty, latest state of the art technology right beside the richsaw cart. Well my high point was to discover that most Indians do not speak English. Well I learnt to move my head around quite well. For this year yes I have had one trip and I will disclose that in my next posting.
